Overview
John Nobody is a series about Portuguese participation in the Great War. It is not a series based on the coldness of dates, numbers, and sums of highlights, so often the only information used to tell war stories. This series is inspired by fragments of a handful of soldiers’ stories (among thousands) who were there.
Stories permeated by the emotions of boys recruited from the most humble Portuguese families, illiterate, people who knew little more than their small day-to-day life. Stories of men taken without any preparation to a terrifying reality.
