Overview
A cup of coffee, a cigarette. A coin, another cup of coffee. Patients roam the halls. They walk alone. Waiting. Another smoke, a burning cigarette. Therapies appeal to the senses. Routines pull them back to reality. It’s life repeating itself in the spaces of a psychiatric hospital. Lucidity and madness walk hand in hand.
From the outside world comes an actor searching for a character. He dives into the inner world of schizophrenia, and patients become part of the creation of his character. Amidst the haze, the actor finds a poem by Ângelo de Lima, an alienated poet. The theater character is born. Cinema documents it.
